The Edible Bus Stop at Ecobuild 2017
Six years after its first urban intervention, The Edible Bus Stop® has grown into an award winning Landscape Architecture and Design Consultancy. Using a multidisciplinary approach, it is recognised for being provocative and playful in its methodology. The organisation has been invited to showcase one of its most successful sculptural products at Ecobuild 2017.
The iconic Double Yellow Line Bench and Tree GuardTM will be joined by a previously unseen prototype of the double yellow line series. Both of these pieces of sculptural street furniture are part of a product line in development, which also includes cycle parking, way finding and other innovative re-thinks of street furniture.
Both pieces will be showcased directly in front of the Arena. The Arena will be home to the Ecobuild Conference, sponsored by Regeneration Partner Skanska, staging a range of high level keynotes and panel debates from industry and government thought leaders and innovators across the three days, with speakers including Lord Kerslake, Lord Michael Dobbs, Baroness Young of Old Scone and Lord Foster of Bath.
The Edible Bus Stop team will also be making a presentation at the Green Infrastructure Seminar in ‘The Gateway’ on March 9th. Their presentation titled ‘Inspiring design engaging communities’ will discuss the team’s success in working with public sector and private organisations to engage with communities using playful design and inclusive events.
