At the end of last year, 24housing magazine began a nationwide search for the housing sector’s leaders of the future. Since then we’ve been inundated with candidates, attracted the support of everybody from the housing minister to the chief executives of the Tenant Services Authority and the Homes and Communities Agency...and been wowed by the quality of submissions.
Nominations have been assessed and the top 12 candidates have now been added to the 24dash website, so housing professionals can vote for their Young Leader of the year. Voting is open until February 18.
The top five who draw the largest votes will be interviewed in 24housing magazine starting from April, with an expert judging panel deciding a winner to be unveiled later in the year. The winner will receive the coveted Young Leader of the Year trophy along with a place on a leadership course worth up to £1,500, provided by Reed Learning.
24housing Editor Jon Land, said: "The quality of nominations was exceptional so to get the field down from nearly 50 to a shortlist of 12 has been an extremely challenging task. We believe those that have made it through all demonstrate the potential to become our first Young Leader of the Year. But now it's time for you to decide who should appear in the final five."
