We are running a seminar, 12:30 - 14:00 on Tuesday 20th March, on Anticipated Part L 2013 - Towards Target Zero. Part L regulations are a key to the Government’s target to reduce greenhouse gases by 80% by 2050, and to zero carbon 2016 targets. Following the anticipated consultation of Part L 2013 in Autumn 2011, this session will examine the likely changes to Part L and their impacts; how to meet the new proposed requirements and an examination of the likely strengthening of as-built requirements. Please see the full programme on our website www.goodhomes.org.uk
The Good Homes Alliance (GHA) is a group of housing developers, building professionals and other industry supporters whose aim is to close the gap between aspiration and reality by showing how to build and monitor good homes which are sustainable in the broadest sense.
All GHA Developer Members have signed up to meet GHA Code requirements, which are Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3++ or approximately Ecohomes Excellent. All Members must also sign up to the GHA Charter, which covers other aspects of social and community-scale performance.
The GHA helps to deliver real improvement through education, research & guidance and technical support, and also engages in active policy and promotion activities to ensure that market conditions encourage and incentivise developers to take a more sustainable approach.
