Zero Carbon Hub

The Callcutt Review of Housebuilding Delivery identified the need for a new, independent body to take day to day operational responsibility for co-ordinating delivery of low and zero carbon homes. This recommendation led to the formation of the Zero Carbon Hub in 2008.

The Zero Carbon Hub is a private-public partnership and senior staff with specialist knowledge of low carbon housing enable it to take forward its delivery plan. It is directly responsible to the 2016 Taskforce for managing the path to zero carbon new homes from 2016.

The Hub has three objectives which contribute to its overall purpose of facilitating the mainstream delivery of low and zero carbon homes:
* create confidence during change
* reduce risk and clear obstacles
* disseminate practical guidance
