The product range includes low thermal conductivity cavity wall ties such as the Ancon TeploTie - the most thermally efficient tie on the market - and thermal breaks for use with masonry support brackets and at balcony locations. Solutions for steel-to-concrete and steel-to-steel balconies will be launched at the show.
Many of the Ancon's products are fabricated from stainless steel which is corrosion resistant, has a considerably lower thermal conductivity rating to that of other metals and is 100% recyclable at the end of a long, maintenance-free service life.
Thermal Breaks at Masonry Support Levels
Masonry support systems from Ancon can now be supplied with Thermal Breaks to minimise heat loss through cold bridging and improve the energy efficiency of the building envelope. Ancon Thermal Breaks are manufactured from a durable fibre-reinforced thermoset plastic which combines low thermal conductivity with high compressive strength. They are shaped like a standard Ancon key-hole shim in order to locate quickly and easily, between bracket and structural frame, as a support system is installed.
