The Historic Towns Forum's mission is to promote the prosperity and heritage of historic towns and cities. Its work is rooted in the recognised value of heritage assets to social, economic and environmental well-being. It is the only UK-based organisation which represents all professional disciplines and all sectors working in the historic built environment.
HTF:

Manual for Historic Streets
This document brings together a collection of articles by experts in both the theory and practice of good streetscape management. Including: National policies and guideline; the purpose and economic benefits of th public realm; the risk debate; and how to achieve high quaity in the various elements which m;ake up the streets - from paving and street futuniture to lighting and public art.
