2012 promises to be an exciting year for landscape. The Olympic Park will command the world’s attention throughout the summer. Its unveiling will reveal in quite a spectacular way the power of landscape architecture to transform and create beauty. Here at the Institute we are keen to capitalise on this unique opportunity. In just a few weeks we will publish our first ever guide for clients. Landscape Architecture – A guide for clients is designed to showcase the breadth of expertise within the profession. From the Olympic Park to a Bermudan Hospital all the projects have been chosen to inspire new clients to commission similar skills in the future.

We will be championing the Guide at this year’s Ecobuild on 21 March where we are hosting four seminars. The first three sessions will take their inspiration directly from the Guide and are themed: Vision: the Power to Transform; Beauty and Civic Pride and Infrastructure: Planning for the Future. The final session of the day takes its inspiration from some of the Capital’s most-exciting projects: The Olympic Park, the transformation of Granary Square in King’s Cross and the massive re-design of Exhibition Road in South Kensington.
