Conference Insight: What to expect at the ecobuild conference – an update from the team behind the scenesThursday 26 October
Planning for the 2018 conference programme for ecobuild is well underway. Following our calls for input on the key themes and a wider ecobuild supporters’ email survey, we’ve had excellent feedback from the industry, helping the Conference Steering Group, a team of high-profile industry professionals, set out a range of topics for the 2018 conference.
We are now in the process of developing a strong speaker line-up, which we look forward to sharing with you in the near future. Focusing the conference on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the UK Government’s commitment to deliver them by 2030, in light of the role that the built environment can play, is proving to be very positive.
We plan to develop three key recommendations from each conference session, with audience support in shaping the outputs. This will ensure that each topic covered in the ecobuild conference programme concludes with actions that can be understood and implemented by the wider built environment.
While there will be plenty of insight to benefit from at the show, in the lead up to it, we are keen on bringing you expert views on some of the most pressing issues across the built environment from the people developing the programme.
Over the next few months, members of our Conference Steering Group, as well as other built environment and sustainability professionals who are contributing to the programme, will be introducing you to their sessions and what you can expect to gain from them in a series of short blogs.
You will be able to read these blogs right here on the ecobuild website – keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest blogs in this series.
