Antonio studied Architecture and Parametric Design at the Polytechnic in Milan and the Delft Institute of Technology. From 2006 to 2011, he worked for Sheppard Robson Architects on various schemes in the UK and China focusing on higher education, science, hospitality, mixed use and residential. He developed SR first digital knowledge transfer intranet app, the Sustainability Matrix, and contributed to the adoption of BIM. In 2011 he co-founded Marcel Mauer Architecture specialised in urban regeneration, residential and retail. Marcel Mauer’s recent works comprise the €5m Polveriera regeneration scheme, which includes the conversion of grade II listed former military estate near Bologna (Italy) with social enterprise startup incubator, public space, restaurant and cafe, disable people care home and multi functional community space, the first prize for the international masterplanning competition for the regeneration of two thirteen century monasteries in the centre of Florence to be converted in luxury hotel and art galleries and the design and delivery of two Marazzi Ceramics showrooms in Clerkenwell and Paris.
He has led a number of campaigns on behalf of Constructing Excellence G4C such as Changing the Image of Construction (in partnership with CIC and RIBA), Construction Open Data Innovation (in partnership with BRE and ODI), The Future of Construction (in partnership with ODI). He developed Project Eaaasy (Beta Version), the first digitally enabled Project Management App for the small domestic market. On behalf of Marcel Mauer, Antonio is currently contributing to the developed of alternative property developer SpaceUp, to be launched in late February 2018.
