Christopher Jofeh is Arup’s global buildings retrofit leader and is based in Cardiff, Wales.
A civil and structural engineer, Chris has been responsible for leading multidisciplinary design teams on a wide range of projects at home and abroad. He has lived and worked in the USA and several Gulf countries and has taught and lectured around the world. He is a member of the Welsh Government construction sector panel and the Welsh Government expert reference group on climate change. In recent years he has been particularly involved in helping building owners and investors optimize building retrofits to enhance value, reduce GHG emissions, and minimize risk.
Chris led the team that produced the recent Arup report Towards the delivery of a national energy efficiency programme . This proposes a series of affordable steps to create the right conditions to halve the energy consumed in all UK homes within 25 years.
